Balanced Technology Extended is a new standard of technology, developed by Intel, that essentially optimises the power supplies and motherboards of PC systems. The electrical power consumption of PC systems is growing steadily and the accompanying increase in dissipated heat at so-called hotspots, such as the processor, graphics card or drives, restricts progress.
