Overview
Open up your world and have your documents read out aloud with the
CleaReader - an easy-to-use audio text reading machine designed for
the benefit of visually impaired people.
CleaReader comes with an adjustable cover so that you can scan and
read thick books. Also, it can be used to store documents - at least
200,000 A4 pages - using the built in memory system. Alternatively,
you can save documents to any MP3 Player that is compatible with
Windows XP. |

Features
Learning to operate CleaReader is easy using the Keyboard Trainer.
Different shaped buttons are easy to recognise and there are no complicated
button combinations. Simply press the round button to scan and read,
and use the triangle button to start or stop reading. It’s as
simple as that!CleaReader delivers high quality sound through its built-in
speakers, even when it is used at high volume. Also, there is a headphone
connection at the front should you wish to listen to it discretely.Finding
a place in the home for CleaReader is easy. Its size means that it
is easy to store on a suitable table or shelf.
Additional Languages for your CleaReader
Each CleaReader is supplied with a UK-english naturally sounding speech
synthesiser. This ensures that both documents and the menu system is
easy to listen to. Additional languages can be added easily to
your CleaReader prior to delivery. The following languages are available:
- French
- German
- Spanish
- Dutch
- Norwegian
- Finnish
- Swedish
- Danish
Ordering Additional Langauges
When ordering, your CleaReader with an additional language, there
are two options to consider:
Option 1: Documents only
This option is recommended for foreign language students, who wish
to read documents which are not necessarily in english. Providing
that you have ordered a CleaReader with your chosen additional language
installed, simply press the middle button, from the set of controls
situated on the right-hand side of the product. CleaReader will then
read out documents using the additional language speech synthesiser.
Even when an additional language synthesiser is selected, the menu
system will continue to be read using the english synthesiser.
Option 2: Documents and menus
This option is recommended for those who prefer to have both documents
and the menu system announced in a foreign language.
