Spring Workshops - Claro

Claro Software's Managing Director, Alasdair King will be leading the ClaroRead workshops. Alasdair will update assessors on all the new ClaroRead V6 features. In-depth practical knowledge on new features, uses and benefits will be detailed. Time will be taken at the end of the session for Q and A. Each attendee will be able to take a full evaluation copy of ClaroRead away with them, Windows PC or Mac versions will be available. Attendees will also be able to sign up to our updated online training course, especially adapted for Assessors in 2012.

New ClaroRead PC V6 Features
•Word and phrase translation for bilingual versions. ClaroRead will display a translation for a selected word, from its installed database. Select multiple words and ClaroRead will use an online translation service to translate the phrase.
•100,000 word prediction dictionary with add-on dictionaries targeting specific subjects. (UK English only)
•Background colour highlighting in Internet Explorer, as in Microsoft Word.
•Speak on select now works when selecting with double- and triple-clicks.
•Selecting ‘Ignore all’ during a homophone check now causes the homophone to always be ignored.
•‘More results’ button in the prediction window allows multiple pages of results to be retrieved when predicting.
•Support for Acapela 8.2 voices in USB version.
•‘Scan from screen’ options to perform OCR on on-screen images. In Plus and Pro versions only.

•ClaroRead is compatible with Apple Pages '09.
•Check Anywhere feature, spell check any text in any application, whether a web page, Word document or PDF.
•Control ClaroRead though the dock icon. Play, Stop and Save to Audio supported.
