Full time: Full time, 37 hours per week Monday – Thursday 09.00am – 5.30pm, Friday 09.00am – 05.00pm
Salary: £23,000 - £24,500 plus benefits
Contract: Permanent

Barry Bennett are one of the largest suppliers of assistive technology to students in receipt of DSA (Disabled Students’ Allowance) throughout the UK. We provide installation, familiarisation, training and aftercare to students who have been recommended assistive technology following an ‘assessment of study needs.

Ergonomic assessments are a specialist bolt-on service offered, following the in-depth assessment of study needs. The role of an assessor is to suggest improvements to the working environment of our students/clients, taking into consideration current diagnosis and history of issues relating to posture. Interventions generally involve recommendations for specialist equipment such as bespoke seating and ergonomic accessories.

Main Responsibilities

Working to detailed referral information, undertaking ergonomic and DSE assessments in face-to-face or online format
Draw on product knowledge to recommend appropriate specialist equipment, where necessary for the individual
Adapt solutions where necessary, liaising with our supply chain to ensure the solution meets the requirements of the individual
Creating reports of a high standard, in line with our standard template following each assessment undertaken
Working closely with our DSA and workplace teams to ensure any follow up is actioned, where necessary

Requirements:
The successful applicant will possess the following qualities

Excellent communication and strong customer-facing skills
Patient, friendly and professional manner with customers
Prior experience preferred in an ergonomics-based role within the DSA or workplace sector
Prior knowledge of the DSE regulations under the Health & Safety at Work Act (preferred)
Proactive approach to all asks undertaken
Comfortable working under pressure
A good standard written English and general IT skills

Candidates must have a full UK driving license
This role will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check
