Our aim is to ensure that all students are able to access their DSA approved specialist equipment prior to any AT training. In order to achieve this we strive to ensure our installation service is of the highest possible standard with various options available for familiarisation.
As soon as your order items arrive in stock, you will be contacted by a member of the team to agree dates for your delivery and to confirm your preferred format for installation and familiarisation. For efficiency, where we are supplying your hardware (laptop or desktop PC), installation of your software will take place at our workshop by our in-house team.
Our most popular format for installation, particularly during the pandemic, is by online appointment. This allows for immediate dispatch of your order with a follow-up date for your online installation and familiarisation. We encourage all customers to take up this service , as it will ensure you are setup and ready for any approved training to take place. Installations are carried out by our fully accredited AT trainers who are familiar with your specialist equipment and ready to help get you started! Our team will install your software and explain it’s functionality, whilst paying attention to other items you may need help with, such as connecting your printer, setting a backup location for your files and downloading your Office applications.
Should you prefer to have a technician visit your home to install and set-up your equipment, we will book your onsite installation for the earliest convenient date. Should you have any special access requirements for which arrangements need to be made, please advise a member of our scheduling team at the point of booking.
A summary of all your installation and training appointments will be visible on the dashboard of your student portal, where you can easily make amendments to agreed dates. Should any difficulties arise after installation, our friendly technical team are on hand to assist by telephone, e-mail or live-chat.
