KAZ Typing Tutor

KAZ’s award winning and specialised multi-sensory Neurodiverse Typing Tutor was developed with advice and guidance from the Dyslexia Research Trust and is suitable for individuals with one or a combination of the following neurological differences: Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, ADHD, ASD, Tourette's, Visual Stress, amongst others.

The program teaches typing skills whilst minimising disturbances related to visual stress by means of a unique preference screen, tailor making the course to each individual for maximum visibility comfort.

Its proven accelerated learning teaching method, incorporating both 'muscle memory' and 'brain balance', engages the major senses of sight, sound and touch simultaneously, radically enhancing memory retention and recall - which is why it is so effective.

KAZ’s accelerated learning teaching method, combined with its unique preference screen, delivers a simple yet dynamic course.

Life Changing Tool
It has been proven that touch typing and using a computer are formidable and even life changing tools for DSA students, as they present a new and powerful medium for learning and communicating - so equipping them with this essential ‘life skill’ gives them a head start and a firm foundation on which to build.

Accelerated Learning
Accelerated learning is a 'total system' for speeding up and enhancing the learning process, whereby results improve significantly and the time taken to learn is dramatically reduced. KAZ’s teaching method has been tried, tested and proven. Its multi-sensory approach innovatively integrates music, imagery, spoken and written language along with interactive instruction.

Suitable for all
The combination of KAZ’s unique ‘Preference Screen’ - tailor making the course to each individual, the inclusion of ‘speaking keys’ - for the visually impaired and a ‘text only’ version - for the hearing impaired, makes the program suitable for all.

Brain Balance
Using specific combinations and progressions of just 11 words in 5 scientifically structured phrases, the KAZ method trains the fingers of both hands to work symmetrically and simultaneously – a direct result of both hemispheres of the brain working at the same time –‘brain balance’. No other typing tutor works in this way.

Work at Your Own Pace
Designed not to overload the working memory, the program is divided into 5 short modules, allowing the user to work at their own pace in a non-linear fashion. Additionally, there is no gaming involved, as gaming has been proven to split focus, concentration and may overload the working memory.

‘Muscle Memory’ – Helps improve spelling
With repetition and practice, ‘muscle memory’ engrains spelling to memory. Spellings become a series of finger movements and patterns on the keyboard, dramatically reducing the likelihood of transposing and misspelling words.

Learn Good Posture
The ‘Flying Start’ module demonstrates good posture, correct hand positioning and teaches the meaning, causes and preventative measures of Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI).
